  2. The bathing day

If you have a bathing day coming up

From 8:00 to 20:00. The water is all yours.

A bathing day at the Bathtime bathhouse is not a programme with a timetable. It has a beginning, an end and twelve hours of water in between. We hold the space, bring juices and the meal to the pool — and support you all day whenever you need help.

The day, top to bottom

Two times are fixed. In between, your body is the measure.

Arrival 7:50, end 20:00 — everything else goes at your pace. The three phases in the water are our experience-based model from more than 1,000 guided baths, not a timetable: you get out when you need to, and back in when you want to.

7:50Arrival

Arrive and sign

The house rules and the liability waiver are printed out and ready — you know both from onboarding. Once you have signed and paid (cash in THB or EUR, or by bank transfer in advance), we can begin. For a confirmed reservation, you can pay a deposit. Without a deposit, your pool is not firmly reserved. Only after payment or a deposit do we secure your pool for you. Late arrival costs 100 THB per ten minutes or part thereof.

8:00approx.

Opening: smudging and introduction

We open the day together: an intention, then sage smudging for the space and for you. The Bathmaster explains the water, the carbonates, the code word and the breaks — and answers any questions you still have.

You get in — naked, in the milky water

The carbonates make the water milky white, and it is your privacy screen. The temperature is slightly below that of your body, and you adjust the pH together with us. On top of that, there is the code word “Toilet”: when someone says it, everyone turns away — all guests and the team. You are naked in the pool, but nobody will see you naked, and you won't see anyone naked either. This is our safe space. From now on, only one thing counts: stay in, breathe, do nothing.

The skin layers

The first four hours work at the surface. The water stays slightly below your body temperature — this outward gradient is the engine, not the warmth.

Toilet, drinks, juice

You say “Toilet”, everyone turns away, you get out and wrap yourself in your towel. In between, juices, teas and remineralised water are waiting by the pool. If you need to get out, you get out — the phases carry on once you are back in.

Organs and tissue

The middle hours are the quiet ones. Many guests doze, some get a brief chill — the body is now drawing from deeper within. If you feel unwell, leave the pool slowly and let the team know.

Alkaline meal by the pool

The kitchen cooks alkaline, and the meal comes to the pool. Your own food and drinks stay at home; if something matters to you, tell us beforehand.

Bones and deep connective tissue

The last four hours reach what a short bath never reaches. That's why a bathing day lasts twelve hours, not six — and why we recommend bathing several days in a row.

20:00Closing

Out of the water, closing reflection

We close the day together: a short look back, your observations, what you should know for the night. What comes after that is further down the page.

The clock only measures the start and the end. What happens in between is measured by your body — and the next morning you can compare it using your skin, weight and photos.

The day before

Three things the day before. Two towels in the morning.

Plan to be on the island the day before — the bath starts at 8:00, and the preparation starts the evening before.

Eating

Eat light the day before

No meat, nothing fatty on the day before the bath. Fruit, vegetables — easy to digest — and only light food in the evening. No alcohol.

Measuring

Take photos, weigh yourself

Photos of your face, palms, skin and body in the same light — ideally indoors with the curtains closed. Note your weight. The day after, you compare.

Packing

Two large towels

One to wrap yourself in, the second for after about six hours, when the first one is damp. Plus light clothing, and cash in case you pay on site.

What comes with you

  • two large, dry towels
  • light clothing that is easy to slip on and off
  • cash in THB or EUR if you pay in the morning

What stays at home

  • your own food and drinks
  • a phone that is on or in flight mode — at the pool it stays completely off
  • a camera: photos and videos are not allowed in the pool area
  • alcohol and other stimulants

Before you enquire

We are Bathmasters. Not doctors.

A bathing day is wellness and personal responsibility. That's why there are things you check with a qualified professional beforehand — and things that are not an obstacle.

Not an obstacle

  • You have your period — that is not an obstacle.
  • You have never had an alkaline bath — the Bathmaster explains everything in the morning.
  • You want to bathe without carbonates — plain water without additives is open to you.
  • You want to get out earlier — you can pause or end the bath at any time.

Check first, then enquire

  • Pre-existing conditions or regular medication — talk to your doctor beforehand.
  • Fresh wounds, cracked or badly irritated skin — these react sensitively in alkaline water.
  • Pregnancy — please check with a qualified professional first.
  • Heavily over-acidified? Then your skin will very likely react — tell us beforehand what you know.
  • Mental health issues — please don't come to us or to any other bathing spot if you are not in control of yourself. We are not therapists or psychologists, and we don't provide therapy here.
What we don't do: We don't make diagnoses, give medical instructions or replace a visit to the doctor. Whether you bathe is your decision — and if you feel unwell, you stop. Everything else is in the liability waiver, which you read during onboarding.

When you are in the water

Naked and quiet. Nobody looks.

Three rules hold the day together. You read the complete house rules, with every point, before your enquiry — and sign them on the first morning.

Privacy

The water is your privacy screen

Everyone bathes naked in the pools. The carbonates make the water milky — nobody will, or should, see you naked. When you say “Toilet”, all guests and the team turn away until you are back in the water. The same applies to you when someone else says the word.

Devices

No cameras, no devices

Photos and videos are not allowed anywhere in the pool area. Phones, laptops and headphones stay switched off — not just in flight mode — and are kept away from the pool. The only exception, and only with your consent: Gunther is active on social media and may briefly ask whether he can make an Instagram story with you. You always have the right to say no — that's perfectly fine, we respect it.

Silence

Quiet, slow, for yourself

The pools are places of inner calm. Speak quietly, and only when necessary. Move calmly so that your process and everyone else's stay undisturbed. No flirting, no propositions, no advertising.

All the house rules in full

Practicalities

Your things. And if anything happens.

What happens to your things — and what to do if you feel unwell in the water.

Your things

What you leave behind before you get in

Your things stay in your bag at the entrance, not in the pool area. Switch off digital devices.

We accept no liability for belongings — so only bring what you need.

If anything happens

Feeling unwell? Get out slowly and let us know

If you feel unwell in the water, leave the pool slowly and let the team know — we are there all day. You decide whether to carry on bathing.

After 20:00

The day ends. The process doesn't.

What you do during the night and the next morning is still part of the bathing day. Three points.

  1. In the evening

Don't shower straight after the bath

The water can stay on your skin — the Bathmaster tells you how long at the close of the day (the no-shower rule).

  2. Next morning

Repeat the photos, weigh yourself, compare

Photos in the same light as the day before, note your weight, compare. That is your measurement, not our claim.

  3. Days 1 to 3

    If itching starts later

Often in the first one to three days: ride it out, use a sauna and shower thoroughly — or take a follow-up bath, usually 2–4 h, subject to availability and at a quarter of the day rate. Let us know early.

One day teaches the body to use the skin as an organ of elimination. Two days are more intense. In our experience, deep regeneration begins from the third day — which is why bathing several days in a row makes a lot of sense. Experience-based model
