Cucumber and avocado salad with dill

Cucumber and avocado salad with dill — 2 servings, 10 minutes

Method

4 steps, 10 minutes.

  1. Halve the cucumber lengthways, scrape out the seeds with a spoon and dice it.
  2. Dice the avocado, slice the onion into thin strips and chop the dill.
  3. Whisk together the lime juice, olive oil, salt and pepper, then gently mix everything together.
  4. Serve straight away so the avocado doesn’t turn brown.

Why alkaline

100%alkaline-forming ingredients, estimated using PRAL logic

Cucumber, avocado, onion, dill and lime are alkaline-forming — purely alkaline, and creamy without yoghurt.

Tip from the kitchen

If raw onion doesn’t agree with you, soak it in lime juice for 5 minutes.

What “alkaline” means here. Alkaline-forming and acid-forming describe how a food is classified in the acid-base table (PRAL logic) — a calculated value, not a statement about effects in the body. The 80/20 rule of thumb — 80% alkaline-forming foods, 20% good acid-forming foods — is our experience-based model from the alkaline kitchen, not a diet plan. Bathmaster, not a doctor: these recipes are cooking, not therapy. Experience-based model
