Mango and spinach smoothie bowl

Mango and spinach smoothie bowl — 2 servings, 10 minutes

Method

3 steps, 10 minutes.

  1. Peel the mango and cut the flesh away from the stone.
  2. Blend the mango, frozen banana, spinach, coconut water and lime juice until thick and creamy — if needed, add more coconut water a splash at a time.
  3. Divide between two bowls and top with desiccated coconut, berries and chopped almonds.

Why alkaline

100%alkaline-forming ingredients, estimated using PRAL logic

Fruit, leafy greens, coconut and almonds — all alkaline-forming. The frozen banana gives the bowl its thick texture, with no dairy at all.

Tip from the kitchen

Freeze bananas in chunks, and the bowl is ready in five minutes even without planning ahead.

What “alkaline” means here. Alkaline-forming and acid-forming describe how a food is classified in the acid-base table (PRAL logic) — a calculated value, not a statement about effects in the body. The 80/20 rule of thumb — 80% alkaline-forming foods, 20% good acid-forming foods — is our experience-based model from the alkaline kitchen, not a diet plan. Bathmaster, not a doctor: these recipes are cooking, not therapy. Experience-based model
