Beetroot, carrot and ginger juice

Earthy-sweet and deep red: beetroot with carrots, apple, ginger and lemon.

Beetroot, carrot and ginger juice

Beetroot, carrot and ginger juice — 2 glasses, 10 minutes

Method

3 steps, 10 minutes.

  1. Scrub the beetroot and carrots thoroughly and cut them into pieces that fit into the feed chute.
  2. Juice them with the apple, ginger and lemon.
  3. Drink straight away — beetroot stains, so a straw helps.

Why alkaline

100%alkaline-forming ingredients, estimated using PRAL logic

Root vegetables, apple and lemon are alkaline-forming; the beetroot brings the colour, the carrot the sweetness.

Tip from the kitchen

Wear kitchen gloves to cut the beetroot, otherwise your hands will stay red for a day.

What “alkaline” means here. Alkaline-forming and acid-forming describe how a food is classified in the acid-base table (PRAL logic) — a calculated value, not a statement about effects in the body. The 80/20 rule of thumb — 80% alkaline-forming foods, 20% good acid-forming foods — is our experience-based model from the alkaline kitchen, not a diet plan. Bathmaster, not a doctor: these recipes are cooking, not therapy. Experience-based model
