Warm potato and herb plate with linseed oil
Potatoes boiled in their skins with plenty of fresh herbs, cucumber and cold-pressed linseed oil — the savoury breakfast from the alkaline kitchen.

Warm potato and herb plate with linseed oil — 2 servings, 30 minutes
Method
4 steps, 30 minutes.
- Wash the potatoes and boil them in their skins in salted water for 20–25 minutes until tender.
- Finely chop the herbs and cut the cucumber into small cubes.
- Drain the potatoes, let them steam dry for a moment and cut them in half.
- Arrange on plates, scatter the cucumber and herbs over the top, and season with linseed oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Why alkaline
The potato is one of the most strongly alkaline-forming foods there is — together with herbs and cucumber, it makes a purely alkaline plate.

Tip from the kitchen
Never heat linseed oil, and always keep it in the fridge; it only tastes mild and nutty when it’s fresh.
